Citing those fans unhappy with the idea of an all-ladies Ghostbusters team, Ernie Hudson spoke to Digital Spy about how he believes people want a film connected to the first two, featuring at least some of the original guys.
Hudson: I like the fact that women are included, but a Ghostbusters reboot? I don't know. You loved those original characters, you wanted to go on this journey with them.
It's like the last three Star Wars movies and the first three. I loved those guys in the first three, I wasn't so thrilled with them in the second three. Every actor brings something unique to the project, but I think Ghostbusters fans would like to see the guys. Unfortunately, Harold [Ramis] isn't here, but I think there needs to be a connection. You can obviously bring in a younger cast with a different story, but they want to see the people they love and care about.Ernie obviously would like to be in the next film-and it shows!
"Ernie obviously would like to be in the next one and it shows" So what's your point? Heaven forbid one of the original cast would like to participate in the project. Most of the people that WERE enthusiastic about this film wanted to see him in it. But that clearly doesn't matter anymore because Hollywood has become a propaganda mill for every progressivist political issue. That's why movies have sucked since the late 90s and that's why this will be bollocks
ReplyDeleteFrank, you have my respect.
ReplyDeleteI have said it before and i will say it again, i don't mind some women, but i just don't want to see an all female team.. they should divide it up man...
Women go on and on about equality, but in reality they don't want equality, they want to take over.
It's not 50F/50M it's 100F/0M... and that bugs me.. a lot.
Even my aunt said it's a bad idea for an all ladies cast.
I got a sister who says she does not give a shit about ghostbusters, it's a boys thing.
My mom feels the same.
I got cousins who are female asking me "why? why an all female lead? i don't care about ghostbusters".
Their is this thing... women are just not interested in things like this.
Funny enough, all the female folks in my family seem to like zombie movies though, and horror flicks.
This is why i feel we need to divide it up, or at least have 1 guy on the team.. at LEAST 1.. come on man!!
The propaganda needs to end in hollywood.
I've said it a million times: Ghostbusters is a CHARACTER PIECE. It's not a platform for a franchise. Without the originals there is NO Ghostbusters. Akroyd, please, for the sake of not becoming what Bay's horrid ninja turtles became...JUST STOP. It was a fantastic ride but the moment has passed, the opportunity soured the moment Harold died. Slap Bill once for me, for that one, btw.
