Aykroyd Still Hoping for Murray, Admits GBIII May Move Forward Without Him

Yeah, we've been slacking on the latest round of Ghostbusters frenzy. It's for good reason though, almost nothing new has been revealed. Ernie Hudson stated that he still does not know what's up. Dan Aykroyd said they still haven't heard from Murray.  He is confident the movie will happen, as he has been for years, and that has been the cause for CNN to announce "DAN AYKROYD: GHOSTBUSTERS 3 IS OFFICIALLY A GO". Pretty terrible journalism.

The newest thing to come of this is D.A.'s posit that Ghostbusters is a brand big enough to move forward without Murray. He doesn't sound too keen to make that move though.

  1. I personally think they should move ahead without Murray's ass, he was my favorite actor next to Aykroyd in those movies, but if he wants to let this pass him by, fine.. we don't need him.. only a child would slack off and never read the script and see what is what.

If it was me, i would have read it already, and gave the go ahead.
In fact, i could play Murray's parts if they wanted... their is no sense in waiting on him for anything.

  2. Murray's right to pass. Akroyd sounds delusional, and his vision for the film is sounding like a B-Movie blockbuster wannabe. from the 80s. The first was funny because they were young slackers making things up as they go along. That, plus ghosts, plus new talent makes for an incredible reboot.

Akroyd needs to drop the kiddy shtick, give GB to someone that can make a movie for 20-something creatives (in 2011, not 1985) and reprise his character-type from Grosse Point Blank.
