Sony Still Excited to Be a Part of This Plan. Ghostbusters 3, That Is.

Last year Sony made their active franchises known at the Licensing International Expo, including Ghostbusters among other active projects for the year 2012, including Men in Black and Spider-Man.

Setbacks revolving around the reception of the third film's script may have damped many-a-blogger's attitude on the third film, but Sony still seems behind the franchise enough to rehash the logo and cityscape graphics they worked up last year and place them with other, less enticing films (IMO).

Amazingly, no party has yet to put their foot down and end this film's prospects. So the endless speculation lives on in this epic poem.

Side note, if I wrote a book on the long journey we've taken to Ghostbusters 3, would you read it? Would include inside stories from execs, producers and writers. Let me know, I've started to outline it and I think there's an interesting story to tell here. We are dealing with the most talked about, elusive sequel in the history of cinema after all, and this blog is number one in google search behind imdb and wikipedia. That must mean SOMETHING. I think it means I need to write a book.

  1. I think if they end up making GB3, a book about the long road to get there would be really cool.

If the movie never happens, then its just a book about a bunch of stuff that didn't happen.

  2. A book about the road to GB3 would be pretty interesting. It could be called: "The Movie That's Literally Been Through Hell."

  3. Hey,

Glad to see you're back blogging again. Definitely looking forward to more posts, even if we are just being strung along.
Anyways, I would definitely read a GB3 development book. Who better suited? Maybe you could throw a homage to Dan Aykroyd and call it "Ghostbusters 3: In (Development) Hell."

    Anyways, glad you're back.
