Ghostbusters 3 Now Hitting a Stall Due to Budgeting

Further proving that anything that can go wrong with Ghostbusters 3 will go wrong, a recent interview with Dan Aykroyd on Global’s The Morning Show has revealed that Sony Pictures hasn’t decided “whether they want to drop $150 million a Ghostbusters 3 right now.”

Aykroyd: I think they should [but] I don’t write that cheque... We hope that things get sorted out at the corporate level, all the way up and down the company, so that capital can be freed up for the artists to do their job.

Hasn't Sony been financing the scripting process for years? Why would they get sheepish now? Bahh.

Thanks to Andreas for the tip.
