Reitman Talks About That Ghostbusters III Female Lead
After the Internet took word of a Paul Feig directed, female-lead Ghostbusters film to mean that the entire team would consist of ladies, there's been guffawing, excitement, anger and many-a-think piece written.
So what does former GB franchise director, current GB franchise producer Ivan Reitman have to say about it all? Collider caught up with him for an interview.
Reitman: On the drafts that I’ve been supervising, there’s always been a very important female presence. It’s nice to know that Paul is interested in the same thing. I met with him because I’ll be producers whatever the new Ghostbusters is.
Reitman brings up a good point, there was slated to be a lady-buster all along for this film, we just never knew how big a role she'd play. The question remains if Feig will rewrite the entire script to incorporate a full team of ladies or if he'll play off of existing co-ed material.
