In a quick rebuke to yesterday's article, Reitman himself says there is no sequel or any other sort of additional Ghostbusters movie officially in the works for us to start getting excited about. "The rest is just noise." Noise that Sony has on payroll, but noise none-the-less, we suppose.
Meanwhile writer Drew Pearce has made some important distinctions about his idea for another Ghostbusters film. First off, stop calling it an all-male version... because his vision is mixed-gender.
For the record, my GB idea has a mixed gender team. Also ghosts of all classes (I to VII). It's very inclusive that way.

And second, while Pearce has stated that he's just finished work on the project "in the last couple of weeks", that does not mean the film is scripted. Instead he was referring to a bible encompassing ideas for the next series.
Also, I've only written a bible (because I have to go off and direct my own stuff). No script yet. So news cycle: CHILL YOUR BOOTS.
