Ghostbusters Threequel production picking up steam

Welcome back, folks!

Things have been quiet on the Jason Reitman's Ghostbusters sequel but now we have some little tidbits to share. Since the teaser revealing Jason has started to create his production team and, we must admit, it is a hell of a good team!
Along the already mentioned François Audouy, Eric Steelberg, Tom Reta and Sheena Duggal we'll meet:

Costume Designer Danny Glicker (Up in The Air, Thank You for Smoking and The Front Runner)

Special Make Up & Animatronic creature Effects Arjen Tuiten (2017's oscar winner for Wonder's make up and creator of The Pan's Labyrinth make up and creatures.

Looks like this will be a movie for those who likes a little wire and foam along with their CGI. Reitman promised to bring the franchise back to the first movie atmosphere and by the looks of thing seems like he's maintaining his promises.

Meanwhile he and Steelberg are busy in Calgary looking for the right location for the movie. Wonder if they already set up offices up in the Great North? Wondering if they'll need a car.

With all these news coming we never heard anything about the original cast returns. Well, anything OFFICIAL.
Production Weekly listed Mrs, Dana Barret alongside the official cast. That's the first time we hear Sigourney Weaver's name attached to the project and since PW is a pretty serious and reliable source, we can say with certainty that Venkman's love interest will be making an appearence.

Will dr. Venkman follow?
HERE COMES THE BOMB.

For years and years Bill Murray has been the most vocal AGAINST a third chapter. He always refused to take part in every iteration of Ghostbusters 3 his old friends offered him to star in.
Today, things changed.

Bill Murray was at the Cannes Festival to promote The Dead Don't Die, the new Jim Jarmusch movie
and Indie Wire was quick to ask mr, Murray what he thinks of the new Jason Reitman's Ghostbusters.
Brace yourself guys, seems like we're gonna witness Peter Venkman's comeback on the silver screen!

One major player who's been incredibly quiet on the subject is none other than the heart of the Ghostbusters, Ray Stantz's embodyement, the franchise creator and greatest cheerleader Dan Aykroyd.
Have no fear, ladies and gentlemen, because just one day after Bill's declarations Dan was on hand to comment too.

Dan commented on the franchise future, giving away absolutely no plot points, saying that he script is under high secrecy and expressing the hope to see some familiar faces.
He talked about potential potential future projects as always, citing the prequel Ghostbusters High he's writing (essentially, the three original Ghostbusters in their teenage years) and other movies down the line. He reiterates the practical effects angle and the scary tone they're going with, to keep in line with the first movie tone but giving something new plotwise to the audience.

Our guess? The original Ghostbusters will appear in the movie but the official announcement, along with a lot of other juicy news, are being kept under wraps to be revealed at the Ghostbusters Fan Fest in June.

That'll be the biggest Ghostbusters' events since.....well, ever. We'll follow and report any announcement regarding the yet untitled Ghostbusters third official chapter.

Be ready to believe!

PS: don't you think we could use a little Moranis in the movie?
