Nice working with you, mr. Reitman!

We're finally here, folks.

In less than a week we'll be witnessing the end of a reeeeeeeeeeeeally long road.

A road with ups and downs (maybe more downs than ups), road blocks, fake starts, flat tires, exhausted engines being rebooted, rebooted engines failing to pick up steam.

We lost one of the main creators, we've been punched in the guts with an unnecessary remake, we've been brought to heaven by an absolutely unexpected saviour.

On July 15th, 2019, after eleven years, this man will start shooting the (still untitled, damn!!) long awaited Ghostbusters sequel.
It's a really emotional thing. Just think where you were in 2008 and think what youre doing now in your life.
Jason Reitman is our light at the end of the tunnel, the end of an exciting road and the beginning of another, more brief but equally exciting.
We'll finally see some set pics, we'll discover what kind of props they'll be using...all the things we normally do with any other movie and that I thought we'd never be doing with GB3.

But before that, we must recap what happened in this month.

June brought forth the Ghostbusters Fan Fest, a really nice convention with Ghostheads all over the world and with an impressive amount of people who worked on EVERY iteration of this franchise: cartoons, comics, videogames, movies....you name it.
Unfortunately, nothing major came out regarding GB20. No big announcement, no big revelations, no big suprises.
There were, nonetheless, a couple of very touching and beautiful moments.

There was a Directors Panel with the Reitmans and Feig discussing all things Ghostbusters in the past, in the present (or really recent past) and in the future.
Jason said thanks to Paul Feig for "kicking douwn the door on who can be a Ghostbuster".....and that's true. One of the reboot merits is to have resolved the rights scuffle.

Until 2015 no GB project could have been made without the principals right owners approval, and that's the reason we never saw a proper GB3. After Harold's death, Reitman sold the rights to Sony, freeing the franchise, in exchange of the formation of Ghost Corps, a subsidiary studio who oversee the GB projects who are in the making, under the sage minds of Reitman and Aykroyd.

Then there was another, more intimate, panel between father and son.

I'm not going to write everything they said, just watch and enjoy.

What can we take away from these clips?

- Dan, Bill, Ernie, Sigourney have read the script. Let it sink for a while. BILL MURRAY SAW THE SCRIPT. Repeat slowly.

- Jason has uncovered some unseen deleted footage and he's using it for his movie. Why? We don't know. Speculation is running wild: flashbacks? Extrapolating audio for some Egon's message from the afterlife? Time Travel? We'll find out next summer.

- Grace McKenna is a really big Ghostbusters fan.

But mainly we had another confirmation that this movie is coming from the right place. It's coming from the mind of a greatly talented filmaker and honed by the heart of an adoring son, a son who truly loves his father (who happens to be another talented filmaker) and that is doing everything he can to honor him.

That alone would be enough to put our hearts and @sses in the theatre.

After the Fan Fest, casting news started pouring. First we had Sigourney Weaver confirming her return as Dana Barret, saying "it's going to be crazy working with the guys again!". Sounds like she let the cat out of the bag regarding the original crew returning on the silver screen, altough nor Sony or Jason officially confirmed it.

Then Annie Potts came along, declaring her availability in the case Jason would call her behind Janine's desk.

Thing quieted down for a while, until a major scoop has been unveiled to the world.

Paul Rudd has been cast as a teacher, as reported by Variety. His video in front of the firehouse is one of the most cool things we saw in this franchise for a long time! We hope to see him putting on a proton pack.

He joins Carrie Coon (who'll play a single mother), Grace McKenna and Finn Wolfhard, her daughter and son.

Just today Variety dropped another cast new, completing the row of young actors: please welcome Celeste O'Connor and Kim Logan!

And that's all, dear followers!

We're now counting the days to the principal photography beginning. We'll let you know if some others big scoop find its way on the internet. Scoop like.....I don't know......the original Ghostbusters involvement confirmation, or the official title.

Until then, dust off your proton packs: bustin' will makes us feel more good than ever!!

    1. well, we not really died. Matter of fact is, we choose to report ONLY official news from the production, but so far we had only fan pics from the set and nothing official from Sony or Jason.
